Can You Transfer Fat from Your Stomach to Your Buttocks?

In the past, silicone implants used to be the standard for surgical enhancement of the buttocks to create a more shapely, fuller backside. For a BBL, once the fat is harvested and purified, it is strategically, artistically, and precisely injected into the buttocks for augmentation. This means that individuals who were not naturally born with the backside volume or shape they desire, or not able to achieve the result with toning exercises, can still achieve fuller, firmer results for their buttocks. The amount of fat needed for a BBL (or other body fat transfer option) depends on each patient’s aesthetic goals and will be determined during the discussion and treatment planning process with your surgeon. In addition to the abdomen, other donor sites may be considered as options for fatty tissue extraction, including the hips, back, thighs, arms, and virtually any body location.
